Naas AFC 4 โ€“ 2 Athy Town FC | Saturday, 28 February 2026 | Boys U17 (2009) โ€” Premier Division

They went behind inside sixty seconds. They didnโ€™t blink. Naas AFCโ€™s U17 Premier side came from behind to beat a stubborn Athy Town 4-2 in a fiercely contested battle โ€” and the hero of the hour was, once again, the brilliant Conor Fagan.

Athy arrived with a plan โ€” and executed it perfectly in the OPENING MINUTE, firing in from a corner to make it 0-1 before Naas had even warmed up. Brazen. Bold. Brilliant.

Naas steadied the ship. On 12 minutes, a Dawid Kolter corner found Jack Tillyโ€™s head, dropping to Fagan โ€” only just wide. The comeback was building.

On 21 minutes, the leveller arrived โ€” and what a strike! The ever-energetic Liam Oโ€™Shea, an absolute dynamo in midfield, stepped up and unleashed an absolute ROCKET to make it 1-1. The crowd loved it.

Substitute Sean Onwere โ€” barely on the pitch โ€” made an INSTANT impact, finishing well after a clever lay-off from the tireless Huey Phelan to make it 2-1 on 33 minutes. Naas were now in the ascendancy.

On 44 minutes, another clinical Kolter corner caused mayhem, and this time Jack Tilly pounced to smash it home. 3-1 at half-time! Commanding.

Athy fought back โ€” Alex Higgins pulled off a magnificent save on 52 minutes to keep the advantage intact. But Fagan had the final word. On 65 minutes, he received the ball from Matthew Greene, beat THREE defenders, rounded the keeper, and calmly slotted home. Pure class. 4-1.

Athy pulled one back late to make it 4-2 and set nerves jangling โ€” but Naas held firm in a battling, brilliant, wholly deserved win.
