Away Trips & Overnight Stay Policy<\/p>\n

This document outlines the official policy for Naas AFC. All members, parents, and officials are expected to read and adhere to these guidelines to ensure a safe, fair, and legally compliant environment.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n Policy Purpose & Compliance
\n <\/h3>\n
\n
\n

To ensure all trips are organized safely in accordance with the FAI Child Welfare Policy<\/strong> and the Children First Act 2015<\/strong>. The welfare of the child is the paramount consideration. All overnight trips must receive prior approval from the Club Committee.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Note:<\/strong> Parents must label all medication\/inhalers\/EpiPens and inform supervising coaches of their location and instructions.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n Leadership & Supervision
\n <\/h3>\n
\n
\n

A Team Manager\/Head of Delegation is responsible for welfare, behavior, accommodation, and parent communication.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Under 12s (1:8 ratio). Over 12s (1:10 ratio). Minimum of two Garda-vetted adults must be present.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n Rules & Expectations
\n <\/h3>\n
\n
\n

Accommodation:<\/strong> Adults must never share a room with a child.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Privacy:<\/strong> Adults must knock before entering; no adult should enter a player\u2019s room alone.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Behavior:<\/strong> No alcohol, smoking, or illegal substances for any participant or official.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Curfew:<\/strong> Lights-out times must be agreed upon and strictly monitored.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n Missing Player Procedure
\n <\/h3>\n
\n
\n

Check rooms and communal areas immediately. Notify venue staff, parents, and the Club Welfare Officer (CWO). If not located promptly, contact An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na<\/strong> or local police.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Use the SportsMember app<\/strong> to record injuries or concerns within 24 hours.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

The club ensures appropriate insurance cover is in place for all approved trips.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n
