The Opening<\/h3>\n

The Green Team ended the season in style with a dominant win against Prosperous. From the first whistle Naas were on the front foot and in control of the game. It wasn’t long before a brace from Jamie gave Naas a 2-0 lead. Another goal followed from Seamie, before Ben latched onto a loose ball to smash it into the top corner. 4-0 at the break.<\/p>\n

\n

The second half started like the first, with Naas pushing for more goals. Prosperous were looking dangerous on the break, but Shuayb, Meron and Raphael were defending well.<\/p>\n

The Action<\/h3>\n

\n

It wasn’t long before it was 5. Jamie, in what was his last game for the Green team, signed off in style with his hat-trick.<\/p>\n

\n

Robert and Gavish were creating plenty of chances from midfield, Seamie was rewarded for his hard work to net his second to make it 6. Having seen one top corner cracker in the first half, Patrick decided to go one better with a goal of the season contender. A great run up the wing ended with a stunning strike from distance straight into the top corner. 7-0.<\/p>\n

The Finish<\/h3>\n

All credit to Prosperous for not giving up, and a little complacency from Naas gave the opposition some hope with 2 quick goals. Naas looked to tighten things up and Alex continued to make some good saves in goal.<\/p>\n

Plenty more chances gave Naas the chance to increase their lead, but the ball just wouldn’t go in. Another late goal conceded made it 7-3, which is where it ended.<\/p>\n

A brilliant win and a very strong end to the season for the Green Team. Plenty of highlights over the season and all the players should be very proud of themselves. A little sad at the end as the players said goodbye to Jamie, We wish him well as he moves down to join the U9 group.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
