Sunday 22nd March 2026 | Girls U11 | Newbridge 0โ€“6 Naas AFC

THEY came. They dominated. They devastated. Naas AFCโ€™s Girls U11 side produced an absolute masterclass away from home on Sunday morning, tearing Newbridge apart with a ruthless, six-goal performance that had coaches, parents and bystanders rubbing their eyes in disbelief.

Six goals. ZERO conceded. And a performance built on everything a youth football team aspires to be โ€” a rock-solid defence, an engine-room midfield that never stopped running, and a forward line that was utterly lethal.

The goals came from all over the pitch. Hazel opened the account with a coolly taken finish. Sophie added her name to the scoresheet. Clara โ€” unstoppable on the day โ€” bagged herself a breathtaking brace. Emily continued the rampage with another goal. And then came the moment that had everybody talking: brand new signing Matilda, fresh into the Naas AFC setup, marked her arrival with a goal on debut. The girl didnโ€™t even need to warm up to the occasion. She just scored. Remarkable.

Between the posts, Maria and Sophie were impeccable, sharing goalkeeping duties and keeping a clean sheet that perfectly capped an outstanding team performance.

โ€œThis was a team performance and all the girls played their part,โ€ the coaching staff beamed afterwards โ€” and you couldnโ€™t argue with a word of it. Every single player contributed. Every single player delivered.

Naas AFC โ€” the future is very bright indeed. ๐Ÿ’™
