How do I register my child for Naas AFC?

Registration is managed through the SportMember app. Download it from the App Store or Google Play, search for Naas AFC, and request to join the relevant age group. If the team is full, you’ll be placed on our waiting list.

What age groups does the club cater for?

Naas AFC welcomes players from age 5 through to senior level. Our Academy covers U5–U8, non-competitive football runs from U9–U11, and competitive KDUL league football starts at U12 and continues through to U19 and senior.

When and where does training take place?

All training takes place at Naas Sports Centre, Caragh Road, Naas, Co. Kildare. Training days and times vary by age group — check the Training Schedule page or your team’s SportMember group for details. Academy sessions run on Sunday mornings.

How much does membership cost?

Annual membership fees vary by age group and are set each season. Fees cover coaching, pitch access, insurance, and league registration. Details are shared during the registration process on SportMember. The club works hard to keep costs affordable.

Does my child need experience to join?

Not at all. Our Academy is designed for complete beginners. Players at every level are welcome, and our coaching philosophy prioritises development and enjoyment over competitive results.

What should my child bring to training?

Players should wear comfortable sportswear, football boots (or runners for astro), shin guards, and bring a water bottle. The club kit can be purchased through the Club Shop but is not required for training.

Are coaches vetted and qualified?

Yes. Every coach and volunteer at Naas AFC is Garda vetted and has completed FAI-approved safeguarding training. Over 90% of coaches hold FAI coaching qualifications, and the club has four UEFA B Licence holders. This commitment to standards earned the club FAI Club Mark accreditation in 2025.

How can I volunteer or coach?

We’re always looking for new volunteers. Visit our Volunteer Registration page to get started. The club provides Garda vetting, safeguarding training, and subsidised coaching courses for all volunteers.

What is the KDUL?

The Kildare and District Underage League (KDUL) is the competitive league in which Naas AFC teams play from U12 upward. It covers clubs across Kildare and surrounding counties, with Premier, Major, and Cup competitions at each age group.
