Shoot-out agony as Naas kids fall at sudden death
Naas AFC’s brave U12 Major side bowed out of the KDUL U12 Shield in the cruellest fashion — beaten 5-4 on sudden-death penalties by Kilcock Celtic after a 1-1 draw.
The tie was a belter. Alex S broke the deadlock on 51 minutes with a lovely finish after some wizardry from Dotser, and for long spells Naas looked destined for the final.
But with three minutes left, Evan saved bravely only for Kilcock to convert the rebound and send the semi to spot-kicks.
Suddenly it was nerve-shredding. James, Eoghan, Conor and Max all tucked their penalties away, but Darragh P was denied in sudden death and Kilcock held their nerve.
