SEAN’S A SAVAGE! NAAS SKIPPER BAGS STUNNING HAT-TRICK AS FOUR-MIDABLE BLUES SINK NEWBRIDGE!
The Blue juggernaut has well and truly arrived! Naas AFC’s U16 Major 2 heroes announced themselves in emphatic style on Saturday, demolishing arch-rivals Newbridge United 4-1 behind an unforgettable hat-trick from skipper Sean Savage!
From the first whistle, Naas simply outfought, outran, and outclassed their visitors in every single department. And leading the charge was Savage, who took out all his early-season frustration on the Newbridge defence in a captain’s display for the ages.
Once he tucked away his first, there was no stopping him. Savage ruthlessly plundered three sensational goals, showcasing predatory finishing and ice-cold composure inside the eighteen-yard box.
Alongside him, strike partner Niko was terrorising the opposition backline like a great white shark — stalking the channels, creating havoc with his movement, and leaving defenders chasing shadows.
Yet the standing ovation of the afternoon belonged to midfielder James Lynch. Lynch put on an absolute defensive masterclass, patrolling the centre circle like a nightclub bouncer — firmly telling Newbridge ‘Not tonight, pal!’ at every turn. Whenever a counter-attack sparked, Lynch was on it like a greyhound chasing the hare, refusing to rest until the danger was extinguished.
It was a 4-1 thrashing that ignites the season, puts smiles back on faces, and sends a terrifying warning to the rest of the division: the Blues mean business!
