NAAS SMASH A DOZEN AT MOONE
Naas romped it. A staggering 12-0 demolition of Moone Celtic handed the young guns their first league win of the season — and boy, did they do it in style.
On a breezy afternoon, with all 17 lads hungry for minutes, Naas tore out of the blocks. Just six minutes in, Senan Smith had the ball in the net after lovely work from Leo — and two minutes later he bagged his second. 2-0 after eight. Moone were reeling.
Then came the pick of the bunch. Peter McBride picked the ball up twenty yards out and thundered a rocket into the top corner that gave the keeper absolutely no chance. Charlie Duffy soon powered home a header from Jason’s corner, and a cruel Moone own goal made it five at the break.
The second half? Naas never lifted their foot off the pedal. McBride rifled in two more to complete a superb hat-trick, and the goals simply kept flowing — Ka Hin, Adam and Stephen all got in on the act, while Antoni crashed home a delightful brace. Stephen rounded it off for a glorious 12-0.
