Naas AFC U15 Major 1 put a fortnight of disappointment behind them with a swashbuckling 7-2 demolition of Kilcock Celtic — and it was young Luke Hickey who stole the show with a wonderful hat-trick.

Naas flew out of the traps. Luke swung in a corner that beat everyone and nestled straight in the net, before Louie latched on to a clever cut-back to rifle home the second. Luke then thumped a free-kick in off the underside of the bar after a handball, and laid one on for Louie to make it 4-1 before the break.

Kilcock pulled one back after the restart, but Frank restored the cushion with a neat finish, Davin smashed home a fifth, and Luke rounded off a superb individual display with his third to seal a sparkling team win. Keeper Noah was magnificent too, pulling off a wonder double-save from a penalty.

A performance full of quality, fight and goals — exactly the response the gaffer wanted.
