Blue Battle Through Kilcock Storm

Blue Battle Through Kilcock Storm

Naas Blue shrugged off wild, wet conditions to grind out a gutsy 2-1 win away to Kilcock.

Freddie Donohue set the tone with a screamer — a wicked volley from the edge of the box — before Scott’s inch-perfect ball released Eli Smithers to double the lead before the break.

Kilcock clawed one back after half-time, but an excellent back four and a tireless midfield display saw Naas dig in and hold on for a deserved victory.

Scott, the architect of the second goal and a menace all afternoon, was a worthy Player of the Match.
