Harford hits a double as Clane pinch a point
Naas AFC’s U12 Red side snapped a five-match losing streak with a battling 2-2 draw away to Clane United — but it could so nearly have been all three points.
Jamie Harford lit the touchpaper, bursting through to fire Naas ahead inside five minutes after John won the toss and the lads stormed out of the traps.
Clane levelled early after the restart, but Harford was at it again, latching on to Logan Bough’s pass to restore the lead.
The hosts refused to lie down, and a scrappy equaliser squared it up at the death. Sam then produced a last-gasp match-saving tackle as Clane hunted a winner.
