Club Structure

How the Club Is Organised

Naas AFC is structured to give every player — from five-year-old beginners to senior competitors — the right environment for their stage of development. The club operates across three main sections:

Academy (Ages 5–8)

Our Academy is where the football journey begins. Boys and girls aged 5–8 attend Sunday morning sessions focused on fun, movement, coordination, and basic ball skills. There are no competitive fixtures at this stage — just a love of the game and a safe place to develop.

Non-Competitive (Ages 9–11)

Players aged 9–11 move into non-competitive small-sided games. These sessions build on Academy foundations, introducing positioning, teamwork, and match-day experience without the pressure of league results. It’s the bridge between learning and competing.

Competitive (Ages 12–19 & Senior)

From U12 upward, teams compete in the Kildare and District Underage League (KDUL) across Premier, Major, and Cup competitions. The club fields teams at every age group through to U19, along with a senior men’s squad.

Girls’ Football

Girls’ football at Naas AFC is one of the club’s fastest-growing areas. With dedicated coaching staff and an increasing number of teams, the club is committed to providing the same quality pathway for girls as it does for boys — from Academy through to competitive leagues.
