GUTTED NAAS U12s SINK OUT OF CUP TO CLANE
Naas AFC’s U12 Major side crashed out of the KDUL Cup after a 3-1 quarter-final defeat to a razor-sharp Clane United Premier outfit.
It could have been a very different story — keeper Evan produced a stunning first-half penalty save to keep the scores level — but Clane’s clinical edge told after the break, and two quick-fire goals left Naas reeling.
Bobby Pigott hauled Naas back into the contest with a fine strike to make it 2-1, but a sucker-punch third sealed it for the visitors.
Heads up, lads. Still joint-top of the league and plenty left to fight for.
