Young Guns Snatch a Point at Suncroft

Young Guns Snatch a Point at Suncroft

Naas AFC’s U17s travelled to title-chasing Suncroft and grabbed a battling 2-2 draw in a sizzling, end-to-end cracker.

The boys flew out of the traps — Ollie teed up Abdullah to fire Naas ahead inside the very first minute. The joy was short-lived, though, as Suncroft hit straight back within sixty seconds.

Both sides traded blows before the break, with Ryan O’Rourke conjuring a fine assist for Ollie to keep things level at 2-2.

The second half was pure drama. Naas rode their luck when Suncroft smashed a penalty off the post, and keeper Adam — outstanding between the sticks — pulled off save after save to protect a point.
