NAAS MARCH INTO KDUL CUP FINAL IN SEMI-FINAL CLASSIC!
Naas AFC U17 Premier 2–1 Castle Villa
KDUL Cup Semi-Final | Wednesday, 7 May 2026
Naas AFC’s brilliant U17 Premier side marched into the KDUL Cup final on Wednesday night with a display of class, grit, and outright footballing brilliance that left Castle Villa’s shell-shocked defenders chasing shadows all evening!
From the first whistle at Naas Sports Centre, these boys meant BUSINESS. Castle Villa couldn’t live with the relentless pressing and electric movement — and it showed from as early as the third minute when Dawid Kolter’s thunderous 30-yarder rattled the crossbar!
The goal came on 11 minutes and it was STUNNING. Jake Dooley — absolute INCH-PERFECT with his delivery from deep — picked out Huey Phelan at the back post, and the rangy striker guided his header into the top corner. The roof nearly came off the Sports Centre! 1–0 Naas!
Villa huffed and puffed but Naas held firm. Jake Dooley and Thady Giltrap — likened by their own management to a game of “Hungry Hungry Hippos” — ate up everything Villa served. And when Mattias Azzopardi’s relentless pressing forced the opening on 21 minutes, Conor Fagan was there to coolly finish. 2–0! Game. Set. Match.
Castle Villa did claw one back to make it nervy — but Naas were never letting this one slip. They’re in the FINAL and this town is absolutely BUZZING.
Next up: The KDUL Cup Final — Naas AFC are going all the way!
