SUCCESS FROM THE START

The club was originally set up by Christine Dolly in 1990. This was the first time a club was set up to unite all the estates in Naas. Naas AFC rose from the street leagues where local estates would have their own teams and compete in a town competition. When formed Naas AFC competed in the DDSL. Naas AFC are now competing in the KDUL and are the largest club in the league.

2019-2022

COVID CHALLENGES

Once Covid arrived in 2019 Naas AFC, along with most other sporting organisations found it increasingly difficult to operate under Covid safety restrictions. As a once thriving club pre Covid, our number dwindled. Once the Covid restirctions were lifted in 2022 our number swelled to almost 1000 players. This proved to be a massive challenge for the club as we embarked on recruiting volunteer coaches to cater for the increased numbers.
