The Opening
A very tight game today, with Eilis opening the scoring just before half time.
Great saves from Maria and a goal clearance from Ava kept us in the game. Clara made it 2-0 before Rathangan pulled one back. Margaret immediately followed up with a goal on the next play followed by second before the final whistle.
The Action
Bella, Eve and Aoibhinn had without a doubt their best game of the season and the always dependable Sophie turned it up a gear in style today.
Lauren, Eve, Ava and Madison marshalled the defence while Clara, Hazel, Eilis, Margaret and Sophie shone in mid-field. Niamh made her competitive debut too putting in some important tackles in mid-field.
The Finish
Well done to all the girls today, we had 13 in total today!
Despite a tough game, 6 of girls moved on to the U11 game right after to win 3-1 against a strong Kilcock side.
