First Half
Match Report: Naas vs Newbridge Prem u12
Naas vs Newbridge Prem u12 performance of the season from the girls with all the hard work paying off.
Naas started very strong in search of a big win to move them second in the league. Lauren opened the scoring for her first goal for the club, it would not be her last for the afternoon 1-0. Naas threatened on both wings with Rosie and Aoife putting constant pressure on the Newbridge defence. Naas ran the show in midfield with the partnership of Kate and Sara dictating the game all afternoon. Sara was very unlucky not to double Naas’s lead with a close offside decision. Newbridge however got a goal against the run of play to make it level. 1-1.
Second Half
Naas continued to dominae their opponents and went ahead again with brillant goal from captain Kate 2-1. They again looked threatening with both Kayley and Aoife having chances just before half time only to be denied by some good goalkeeping.
Second half Naas began to really turn the screw with Alanna scoring a brillant individual goal. 3-1. She never gave up all afternoon in terms of tackles and determination to push the play quickly forward. Naas were solid at the back with Laurel,Faye and Alex cutting out any danger from the opposition. Evie and Rosie were again dangerous on the wings. Lauren added to her goal tally with another brillant taken score. Game set and match. 4-1.
Naas are really building some momentum before the break. All the hard work on the training sessions is definitely paying off.
