Boys U11 (2015) Green 13:1 Kilcock Celtic

First Half
Having been moved up to the premier division, the coaches approached this game unsure what lay ahead. Thankfully 13 superstars had our backs and let us know that we had nothing to worry about.
Second Half
With less than 5 mins on the clock, Naas had moved into a 2-0 lead. Whilst more goals were to follow, solid defending from Shuayb Islam and Thomas Friel ensured we kept the opposition scoreless. Great team play and finishing brought us to half time 6-0 up.
Kilcock came out stronger in the second half, but Tadhg Maher was flawless in goal and confidently caught everything that came his way. Great tackling and powerful runs from our midfielders ensured we created chance after chance.
Hat tricks from Alex Hackett and Mikolaj Pogorniak, together with goals from Michael O’Connell, Ben Reilly, Raphael Kehoe, Sean Browne, Patrick Hanrahan, Faniel Futsom, Vlad Caracu ensured we had 9 different goalscorers. Adding to that, we had 6 different players with assists – Faniel with 4, with others coming from Gavish Gaba, Alex, Sean, Patrick, and Vlad.
A late goal conceded meant we didn’t keep a clean sheet, but a brilliant team performance all round. No doubt there will be tougher games ahead, but if the players continue to play at that level we’ll be just fine.
