Kill Celtic vs Boys U11 (2015) Blue

First Half
Tough outing vs a strong Kill Celtic outfit with both defences winning out in the end!
Naas very much on top in the first half. Padraig Morgan had a stormer – for one ten minute spell he seemed to be everywhere on the pitch. Sean and Freddie made up a solid defensive trio. Finn and Charlie worked tirelessly up and down the pitch in the midfield roles. Seamie gave it his all as usual but wasn’t getting much change out of a very solid Kill defence. John and Robert replaced our tiring midfield terriers and both acquitted themselves very well when they came on.
Second Half
The second half brought the goalkeeper switch – Caoimhin deserved his clean sheet and moved into the centre of defence with Sean taking the gloves. It was very much a game of two halves – the Kill boys were in the ascendancy and had numerous chances and shots on goal. Sean pulled off an incredible point blank save with one hand to keep us in the match.
The game was also breaking up a bit as the players on both sides tired and Naas began to create a few more chances on the break. Charlie and Freddie shored up the defence and didn’t let much past them, allowing Caoimhin to drift forward into midfield where he connected well with Robert, Finn, John and Seamie at different points.
All in all we will take the draw against a solid Kill side.
