Boys U16 (2010) Premier 3:0 Rathangan

First Half
The lads got back to winning ways with an OK enough performance against the bottom side Rathangan.
After a forgetful first 20 minutes, Naas finally got out of first gear and started to play some football. The first goal arrived on the 24th minute when the ball broke to Adam Bracken in midfield, who pinged a great 40 yard diagonal ball into the path of Kian Lawlor. Kian took the ball in his stride, and pinged it into the side of the net from 18 yards.
The second arrived 4 minute later from a corner. Again it was Adam with the assist, swinging in a great ball for Evan Malone to dart in, and head in from 3 yards.
Naad we’re starting to dominate, and the third arrived following some good work down the right, with lovely combination play between Sean Stafford and Evan Malone. Evan got to the byline and wiped in a great ball, which skimmed of Lochlainn Quinn’s head, Onto the onrushing Ned Keogh, who headed in from 5 yards.
Second Half
Second half was largely like the first half, with Naas in control. Created a handful of chances with Max Galvin, Kian Lawlor and Oisin Lynch going close on several occasions. Sean Haugh had a shot which the keeper forced onto the bar. The Rathangan goalkeeper managed to keep the ball out of the net for the entire second half.
Best for Naas on the night, Andrew O Toole, Fred Cowdell at the back, Adam Bracken in the middle, with Cian Leonard making an excellent impact off the bench.
