Boys U13 (2013) Major 3 0:5 Caragh Celtic

Date: 5 Oct

First Half

Naas AFC were hoping to change their luck today after successive losses. Today’s opponents were Caragh and the game was back and forth with both teams defending well. John Lawlor had a shot just wide of the post and Callum Fitzgerald had a shot well blocked by the defender.

Down the other end Maxym Sliepushkin played his best game yet in a Naas jersey while Matthew McAuley had a strong showing. Noah Hardiman continued his consistent good performances in the heart of the Naas defence.

Second Half

Woody McConnon covered every blade of grass both defensively and as an attacking threat as he managed to make numerous runs down the right wing. Caragh managed to scramble the ball into the back of the net from a corner just before halftime to take a one nil lead into the break.

As which has been the story of the season so far as they chase their first win, the Naas players gave their all in the first half. Tired themselves out for the second half conceding 4 goals. The game finished 5-0 but it wasn’t without positives.

Naas will hope their luck can change in the next game.
