First Half
A home win against a strong team, the lads upped their performance from last week’s win with discipline greatly improved.
Second Half
The first half saw the lads taking the lead with great awareness on and off the ball. With Senan and Freddie both having shots on target, the lads unlucky to not be 3:1 up at half time.Matthew, Jamie. Owen supporting at the back avoiding 3 possible goals, and Sam making a great save. The away side scored with a strike not many keepers would save.
The second half kicking off 1:1, again the lads got stuck in with Senan, Freddie. Fionn having shots on target, it was Niko who put one in the back of the net to have us 2:1 up.
The final 10 minutes saw a big performance again from the defence, With Jack L defending a goal, Harry putting his body on the line to defend. Matthew and Jamie consistently closing the gaps, to give us a home win against a strong side.
The team are training well during the week, Putting the new drills into action on game day, 2 well deserved wins from 2 games played.
An away game next Saturday to Kilcullen (again!), we will continue to build our performance during the training sessions this week.
