Naas AFC’s 2014 Prem squad travelled to Damien Duff Park today to compete in the Leicester Celtic 9v9 summer tournament, showcasing determination, teamwork, and resilience throughout the day.
The boys faced four tough heat games in the group stages, one match every half hour. Battling through a competitive field. Matches against Leixlip Utd, Belvedere FC (eventual winners), St. Francis, Crumlin Utd.
While results didn’t always go our way, the squad’s attitude and spirit never dipped.
Thanks to their perseverance, Naas AFC advanced to the Shield Final, against Bohemian FC, where they delivered a great team performance. Fighting to the end.
A tight and hard-fought encounter was decided by a single goal — and it went Naas’s way, securing a 1-0 victory and the Shield title.
Us coaches and parents couldn’t be prouder of the boys. Every player gave their all, stuck together as a team, and earned their reward in the end.
