First Half
Match Report: U10 Kilcullen vs Naas Orange
Despite the result, really good performance again from the lads team.
1st Half – Both teams started strong, Kilcullen won the last match 5-3. Tagh in goals was busy at the start. Naas were steady at the back with Cian and Jack. Naas were making great challenges with Senan and Matt in midfield. Kilculllen eventually got a chance and went 1-0 up.
Naas hit back quickly with some good play in midfield from Matt who released the Leon to have his chanced saved only for Daragh to slot home the equaliser. 1-1. Daragh has another chance to put Naas ahead but shot wide.
Naas had really strong players coming off the bench. Padraig had a player of the match performance in midfield in terms of being box to box all game.
Second Half
2nd Half – Kilcullen had a bright spell at the start of second have and hit Naas in quick succession with 2 goals. 3-1.
Naas battled back with Ollie very unlulcy not to score. John made a great run that deserved a goal. Kiaon had some excellent runs and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. Michael also had a good chance at the end. Kilcullen held on but solid performance from the lads.
But for a lack of some clinical finishing the lads would have went away with the win here. Onwards to remaining match versus Kildare Town next week.
